I'm happy to announce that the Kickstarter campaign for my children's book will start on March 1st. Here's a sneak peek at some of the bonus rewards that will be included at various levels.
Excited to show off the final cover for my book "Charley and the Yellowstone Sprites." More to come on the book launch later this month.
Last week, I joined some friends for a few days of printmaking. I did a few linocut prints. It had been about 20 years since I've done any printmaking, so it was a ton of fun to relearn how to do this.
Working on some paintings for a show at ZINC Art + Interiors in December. These pieces will tie in thematically to the Yellowstone book I'm working on. Here's one of the illustrations from the book that I've adjusted on the computer to translate to canvas. Sort of experimenting with a new style.
I've been making a good bit of progress over the last few weeks on the Yellowstone book illustrations. Last week, I started scanning several of the paintings and laying out the book in InDesign. One realization I had as I started doing this was that the book needed more quiet space. Having spread after spread of full on painting was overwhelming. So I'm going to do finishing touches in Photoshop. Here's some of that process. Also turning on comments now! :)
